The Novelist

Eighteen months ago I completed my debut novel. THINGS LIKE THAT DON'T HAPPEN HERE is (was) blends murder-in-a-small-town with a love story. After a long year communicating back and forth with potential literary agents, I have come to the sad decision to move on to my next project. More info to come!

The Blogger

I have disapppeared from the blogosphere for about a year, but I'm trying to slowly regain my mojo. Look for a resuscitation of my two blogs in coming weeks with plenty of stored-up content on travel, wedding planning, and other miscellany.

Chez Shaffner covers esoterica, sports, books, and pretty much anything I want.

The Thrilling Travels of Normal Guy and Girl focuses on travel, so look for a series of post-honeymoon reports over the upcoming weeks.

The New Husband

We did it! Keryn Lemieux, whom I met in 5th grade, and I tied the knot on June 7, 2008 in the prettiest spot along the Maine coast. Now I'm still trying to adapt to the new hardware on my left hand without fidgeting!
